A Little About Us

VICE is a car enthusiast club. No where in there does it say just certain imports or just certain domestics. We embrace all car enthusiasts the same. We are a FAMILY.

To ensure a great experience for all of us and considering the diverse makeup of our community there are certain rules/guidelines my officers and I must enforce. There are not too many, so please read through these before deciding if VICE is for you.

CAR MEET ETIQUETTE & BEHAVIOR

So most have us have been to car meets at least once or twice, it’s almost safe to say where there’s cars, there’s people who love to show off their cars. Burnouts, drifting, donuts, “spirited” driving, etc; Thing is, more often than not, these meets are public and that means there’s the issue of public safety and disturbing the public. Everyone at the car meet might enjoy your little show, but not when it could mean a bystander calling in a complaint and having the police show up and hand out tickets and VIs or worse.
Nobody wants this to happen and nobody wants you to recklessly drive around in the city after the meet either, as most notable with some of the things that happened after a certain local Spring meet in Vancouver. Couple of cars were seen running reds, dangerously passing other vehicles or even doing burnouts. In the CITY! Not just out at the meet.
People put a lot of effort into getting these public meets together and having it not be a hot spot for the police to write tickets. Don’t be ‘that guy (or girl?)’ that ruins it for everyone else.

That being said I do have some more rules should VICE be hosting a meet/show in the near future.

1. Do not touch a car if it is not yours. On most of the cars, you will actually leave fingerprints that are visible. That's how clean these cars can be.
2. Do not sit in the vehicles or otherwise open doors/hoods/etc. Ask to be shown.
3. Watch items such as watches, rings and other jewelry when walking about vehicles or taking a closer look. Also, if you wear your keys on your belt loop, make sure you have a proper distance between you and the vehicle you're walking past.
4. Do not take pictures with a woman beside a car without first asking permission. Both of the woman and then of the car owner themselves.
5. It is permissible to put literature or flyers in the seats of the car or trunk if the windows or trunk are open.
6. If you want a closer look, ask, most owners are thrilled to show it off.
7. If a show car is pulling up, let the owner get parked and get out of the car before trying to talk to him/her. It can be annoying when people start coming up and getting in your way when you're trying to park.
8. If you don't like a particular car, just keep walking. People don't bring their cars to shows to be criticized. Keep your comments in your head please.
9. If you have a sound system - it's alright to turn it up for a minute to show it off to somebody, but don't keep it playing loud for a long time. Also, try to avoid playing music with a lot of offensive lyrics.
10. Leave the show with dignity. If you have the loudest, fastest, baddest car there, there's no reason to prove it with two black stripes following you out. Those who do will have pictures and/or video taken and reported. This behavior is unnecessary and reflects badly on VICE. This is about passion people, not ego. Leave it at home.
11. Items that are in someone's vehicle are not yours. Keep your hands off of items and certainly do not steal them.
12. Do not lean against any vehicle. If you have jeans on, then they usually have rivets in them...they scratch paint.
13. If you happen to see a spot on someone else's car...point it out to them...don't lick your finger and try to wipe it for them, or try to help them clean it unless you've been asked to help...most people are particular in the ways they polish their cars and what they use to polish them.
14. If you have video equipment, I.E. Screens, DVD players, etc.... Don't play any obscene videos that may not be suitable for a younger audience.
15. If there are many different clubs at a show/meet, and you may not like that particular club or some of the members of that club, STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
